2020 Election Season
For extra credit, you may choose an election that took place during the 2020 election season, with the exception of the U.S. Presidential election. It may be an election that took place at the state level (Governor, State House or State Senate) or the federal level (U.S. House, U.S. Senate). After choosing an election, answer the following three questions:
- What is the background of each candidate involved in the election? (Who are they? What is their professional history? Were they, or had they previously held office prior to participating in this election?)
- What were the candidates’ positions on two important issues? Examples could include the economy, the government’s response to the COVID 19 pandemic, gun control, election integrity….. etc.
- What were the results of the election?
Each question should be answered using complete sentences. After each answer, a citation, in MLA form, informing the instructor where the information was found should be included.
