Community Teaching Plan: Community Teaching Work Plan Proposal

The RN to BSN program at Grand Canyon University meets the requirements for clinical competencies as defined by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) and the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN), using nontraditional experiences for practicing nurses. These experiences come in the form of direct and indirect care experiences in which licensed nursing students engage in learning within the context of their hospital organization, specific care discipline, and local communities.

Note:  The teaching plan proposal developed in this assignment will be used to develop your Community Teaching Plan: Community Presentation due in Topic 5. You are strongly encouraged to begin working on your presentation once you have received and submitted this proposal.

Select one of the following as the focus for the teaching plan:

  1. Primary Prevention/Health Promotion
  2. Secondary Prevention/Screenings for a Vulnerable Population
  3. Bioterrorism/Disaster
  4. Environmental Issues

Use the “Community Teaching Work Plan Proposal” resource to complete this assignment. This will help you organize your plan and create an outline for the written assignment.

  1. After completing the teaching proposal, review the teaching plan proposal with a community health and public health provider in your local community.
  2. Request feedback (strengths and opportunities for improvement) from the provider.
  3. Complete the “Community Teaching Experience” form with the provider. You will submit this form in Topic 5.

The benchmark assesses the following competency:

4.2 Communicate therapeutically with patients.

Relational databases

Your presentation must be a minimum of six slides in length (not counting the title and reference slides), and you must use at least two academic resources. Any information from a resource used must be cited and referenced in APA format.

For decades, relational databases remained essentially unchanged; data was segmented into specific chunks for columns, slots, and repositories, also called structured data. However, in this Internet of Things (IoT) era, databases need to be reengineered because the very nature of data has changed. Today’s databases need to be developed with the needs of IoT in mind and have the ability to perform real-time processing to manage workloads that are dynamic. For example, relational databases should be able to work with real-time data streaming and big data (an example was presented in the Unit III Lesson).

Scenario: Falcon Security wants their customers to be able to view security video footage in real-time and provide customers with the ability to query video footage for viewing. Choosing a database solution such as MongoDB would allow Falcon Security to store customer video footage in the same database as the metadata.

To do this, Falcon Security needs a way to manage the demands of real-time data streaming for real-time analytics. Conduct some research for a NoSQL database application, such as MongoDB or Cassandra, that could meet this need. How would switching to a real-time database solution help Falcon Security remain competitive? Create a PowerPoint presentation that includes the components listed below.

  • Provide a brief introduction to IoT.
  • Present the argument to the Falcon Security CEO that      switching to a more dynamic database structure (NoSQL real-time database)      will meet the demands of IoT.
  • Introduce some features of the database you chose,      whether it is MongoDB, Cassandra, or another database.
  • Describe how switching to a more dynamic database will      give Falcon Security a competitive advantage.

INformatics

In this paper, write about your thoughts about informatics over the entire course and address the following:

  • What is informatics? (5 points)
  • Which aspect(s) of informatics is new to you? (15 points)
  • Were you aware of any informatics-related job opportunities before taking this course? (5 points)
  • Does this course change your overview of the future job opportunities? and How? (10 points)
  • What type of jobs do you plan to pursue after graduation? Is it going to be informatics related? (10 points)

Compose the paper in an essay format and do not just give answers in the bullet list. (5 points)

Please make your analytic points specific as this is your self-reflection. Reference anything that are not your own using APA style.

Developmental Reflection

Each student will be asked to create and explain their own discontinuous (stage) theory of lifespan development. Each theory must have at least 5 stages that are distinct, separate milestones of development. The student’s theory can cover broad concepts of development or focus on one topic/area of development across the lifespan. In a Word document (uploaded to D2L), students are asked to outline their theory addressing each of the following:

1. What is the overall topic/concept of your developmental theory? For example, Freud’s theory addressed psychosexual development, Kohlberg addressed moral development. What does your theory address?

2. Who does your theory apply to? Is it to everyone, or to a specific group of people, specific culture, gender, ethnicity, geographic location, etc.?

3. What are the specific stages of your theory? What are the age ranges and the unique milestones a person will meet within each stage? Remember, stage theories argue that each stage is distinct from all of the others. What makes each of your stages distinct?

4. How will a person meet each milestone? For example, according to Erikson, people face psychosocial conflicts they have to address, but Piaget said development naturally occurred and nothing ‘needed to be done.’ What does your theory propose?

Reflections must be in paragraph format, double-spaced, and at least 200 words. Students are not required to have outside references, but if they use outside sources, they must correctly cite and reference them. Reflections can be written in first-person, but they are expected to be formal written assignments. Points will be deducted for spelling errors, grammatical mistakes, disorganized or informal writing, structure, and flow. Links to the AU Writing Center are provided in the D2L- Important Class Information content folder for student access.

Apple Company

The thread must be a minimum of 400 words (excluding the reference list)

Go to the website www.sec.gov and, under the Filings heading, click on “Filings” and then click on “Company Filing Search.” Search for “Apple” company. A list of available documents should be shown for “Apple” company. Required Using these available documents, answer the following questions:

1. Has the company filed an 8–K during the most recent time period? If so, open that document and determine the reason that the form was filed with the SEC.

2. Has the company filed a 10–K during the recent time period? If so, open that document and determine the total reported net income for the latest period of time.

3. Has the company filed a 10–Q during the most recent time period? If so, open that document and determine what issues were addressed and disclosed.

Multiple Regression

THIS REQUIRES SPSS

Please follow the attachment closely!!!!!

This Discussion assists in solidifying your understanding of statistical testing by engaging in some data analysis. This week you will work with a real, secondary dataset to construct a research question, estimate a multiple regression model, and interpret the results.

Whether in a scholarly or practitioner setting, good research and data analysis should have the benefit of peer feedback. For this Discussion, you will post your response to the hypothesis test, along with the results. Be sure and remember that the goal is to obtain constructive feedback to improve the research and its interpretation, so please view this as an opportunity to learn from one another.

To prepare for this Discussion:

  • Review this week’s Learning Resources and media program related to multiple regression.
  • Create a research question using the Afrobarometer Dataset or the HS Long Survey Dataset, that can be answered by multiple regression.

By Day 3

Use SPSS to answer the research question. Post your response to the following:

  1. If you are using the Afrobarometer Dataset, report the mean of Q1 (Age). If you are using the HS Long Survey Dataset, report the mean of X1SES.
  2. What is your research question?
  3. What is the null hypothesis for your question?
  4. What research design would align with this question?
  5. What dependent variable was used and how is it measured?
  6. What independent variables are used and how are they measured? What is the justification for including these predictor variables?
  7. If you found significance, what is the strength of the effect?
  8. Explain your results for a lay audience, explain what the answer to your research question.

Be sure to support your Main Post and Response Post with reference to the week’s Learning Resources and other scholarly evidence in APA Style.

Management Accounting

For this meeting, I would like you to recall / think about what management accounting concepts have you learned that you can apply in your work place or your business or at home if you are a full time student. Part of the final requirement of this course is for you to present a situation where you have applied the concepts learned in this subject. I am announcing this requirement as early as now. You can use the concepts of our future remaining topic as well, that is – budgeting (chapter 9 of the ebook).

Applying the management accounting concepts introduced to you since the beginning of the course, I would like you to come up with the situation where you have applied (or can apply) the concepts you have gained in this course. Perhaps, you can present a computation / actual calculation of a break-even analysis of the company you are connected with, or compute the break-even of your business for those who are in business. You can also cite cases where you could apply concepts acquired in relevant costing or short-run decision making. If you are a fulltime student, give an actual situation where you have applied concepts of short-run decision making / cvp analysis. You can also present a financial statements analysis of your company where you are working or that of your business, what are the prospects of your company, strengths and weakness as well as the the opportunities and the threat?

Aerodynamic Unaccelerated Performance

In this module week, you will apply your gained knowledge about unaccelerated aircraft performance of the Cessna 172  Lyc. IO-360-L2A . Since you will build on your previously derived drag data for your example aircraft. For your independent project, create an instructional presentation. Using/building on your previous drag (i.e., thrust-required) table and graph created in Module 3, generate additional power-required values in the table and depict the power-required curve for your aircraft.  Then, working with your derived thrust-required and/or power-required curves and table data, explain how to find various performance aspects for your aircraft, and provide the specific data for your example. At a minimum cover the following:

  • Maximum range airspeed
  • Maximum endurance airspeed
  • Best climb conditions
    • Best rate of climb (ROC) & associated airspeed
    • Best angle of climb (AOC) & associated airspeed
  • Maximum forward airspeed
  • Best glide airspeed

Additionally, discuss and highlight numerically on a specific example of how weight change influences performance events such as the best range or endurance. As in previous assignments, you will need to research additional information such as required formulas and pertinent aircraft data. Again, the emphasis in this project task is on explaining your methodology as if you are attempting to instruct someone unfamiliar with the aerodynamic details and relationships. Therefore, make sure to detail all assumptions, all formulas used, and all steps that were taken. The following will give you some starting points for your search and consideration.

  1. Required formula:
    • Thrust to power relationship
    • Weight change influence on performance airspeeds
    • ROC & AOC relationships
  2. Necessary aircraft information:
    • Powerplant output (for simplification, you can assume constant power output at the rated value across the entire speed range); whatever powerplant data you utilize, please make sure to include a short discussion detailing your assumptions.
  3. Previous information:
    • Make sure to detail again all assumed information used/transferred from last week (e.g., aircraft weight, atmospheric conditions, etc.) since performance data are, obviously, only valid for specific cases and conditions.

As previously stated, you are encouraged to utilize appropriate computational software such as Excel® or MatLab®.

  • Your presentation is due by the last day of the module and should be created using Powerpoint or the presentation platform of your choice.
