Assignment 1

For this Assignment, write a 3–5 page paper, including a title page and reference page, describing an imaginary crime scene of a mass disaster and plan a team approach to the examination of that scene. Describe all of the appropriate specialized personnel that should be present at the scene/disaster and what they should contribute to the investigation.

Use materials from the text and/or any outside resources to support your response.

You may use the textbook as a source, along with personal interviews, research and scholarly academic journals, available through the Kaplan online library. Follow American Psychological Association (APA) format with proper citations and references.

Assignment 2

Set up a mock crime scene of your choice and find latent fingerprints on the items in your crime scene. Dust them with crushed up charcoal, make up, or some powder of your choice and take pictures of them. NOTE: for this learning activity you don’t have to lift them.  

Submit at least four or five photos in a PowerPoint presentation with an explanation of the crime scene. Post your presentation in the Unit 3 Dropbox titled “Assignment 2”.
