The psychological manipulation begins before the interrogator even opens his/her mouth. The physical layout of an interrogation room is designed to maximize a suspect’s discomfort and sense of powerlessness from the moment he steps inside. The chair should be stable and immovable. There should be no distractions in the room.

In your opinion, why do suspects tend to give more information when they are uncomfortable?
