1. Describe the extent to which John Wooden’s Pyramid of Success fits  today’s business environment after reflecting on your own organization  or one that you have observed. Provide three examples to support the  response.
2. Typify your leadership style and provide three examples of how  your own temperament, motivation pattern, thinking styles, character,  expectations, and leadership philosophy relate to or contrast with  themes discussed in John Wooden’s Pyramid of Success.
3. Analyze John Wooden’s Pyramid of Success and identify the aspects  with which you agree and disagree. Provide a rationale for each aspect.

Findings will tend to describe what the research has found in light of the research objectives/research questions. They should also relate the findings with the previous studies and relevant theories related to the subject. The key findings should be highlighted on the extent to which the contribution is actually innovative or an extension to an existing knowledge. Or it is supporting previous findings or it contradicts the existing literature (a conceptual framework would either be created based on the findings, or an existing one which has been established in the literature review chapter would be evaluated or realigned to the findings of this study, highlighting the key findings.

The attached is the Excel worksheet for Janel Janitorial’s balance sheet and income statement included in the case study. Use this worksheet to perform the following analyses.

1. Horizontal Analyses for 5 years.

2. Vertical Analyses for 5 years both for the balance sheet (using the total asset as the benchmark) and income statement (with total sales).

3. Ratio analyses – Use 1) Professor Grove and Cook’s 6 ratios for red flags for reporting problems and financial performance (e.g. gross margins and sales growth, PE ratios, profit margines, etc.), and 2) ‘Beneish’s 5 statistically significant ratios for catching earnings management’ in the textbook (page 4-44).*

*Note: If the case does not provide sufficient informaton to calculate a ratio, you can simply document that and skip the ratio (e.g. PE ratio). But when most, if not all, of the numbers needed for a ratio are available in the case, calculate the ratio using the available information.

After the analyses, identify the areas that suggest further investigation of irregular activities (errors or fraud). Also document anything else you noticed on Janet Janitorial’s financial statements.
