Assignment 3: Graded Weekly Assignment: Contract Between Andrea & Lena Beanery and Mexican Packing Plant

As another business venture, Andrea and Lena have identified Mexico City as the place where they would like to ship their coffee beans for packaging and distribution to locations throughout Mexico. For this they are planning to contract with an established packing plant. They travel to Mexico City to meet the owner of the plant with whom they are considering doing business.

On the day of their visit, the plant’s workers go on strike. They want to unionize, and the management of the plant locks them out for going on strike. This matter is quickly resolved, but your clients are concerned about the same problem arising in the future, and causing a disruption in their business in Mexico.

Your attorney asks you to write a first draft of a contract providing for the services of the packaging plant. Within this contract, ensure that you fully protect Andrea and Lena from any delay or other liability due to a labor unrest at the plant in the future.
